Term 3 Vocabulary Work Part 3!!!

The Present Story

 The Present!

A 9 year old boy named Chase was sitting on the comfy couch

A 9 year old boy named Chase was sitting on the comfy couch. He was playing on his Xbox.  The living room was dark and gloomy. Chase was focused on the game and nothing else. 

His mum came in and said “Hi honey, sorry I'm late I just had to pick something up for you.” 

Mum placed the box in front of Chase. 

Chase said inside his head “Why did mum place the box right in front of me?”

Chase continued to play his video game. Suddenly the phone rang. Ding ring ring. 

His mum said “Why don’t you open the present I got for you!” 

The mum said “Why don’t you let some air inside, it’s such a beautiful day outside!” 

Chase’s mum opened the curtains. Chase couldn’t see the game on the tv because the reflection from outside was shining on the tv. Chase paused his video game and opened the present. His mum went to answer the phone upstairs. The mysterious box was unsealed. Chase was about to open the box but suddenly a puppy popped out! The puppy had golden fur. Chase felt happy. But suddenly Chase was confused because the dog had one missing leg. Chase was mad and threw him on the floor. Chase said “You gotta be kidding me”! The dog rolled over but then he saw a red ball under the drawers. The dog ran to get it but the dog bumped into the drawers. The dog went under the drawers carefully and got the red ball. He played with it. The dog went to Chase to play with the ball. Chase kicked the ball angrily into the box. The dog went to get the ball but he ended up inside the box. The dog tried to get out. He ran around everywhere and bumped into the couch. The dog got out of the box. Chase looked at the dog and smiled. Chase looked at the tv and tried not to look at the dog. The dog went to Chase and laid down with the red ball. Chase looked at the dog. Chase turned off his game and picked up his crutches and went to open the door. But he had a missing leg this whole time! 

Chase yelled out to mum “Mum we will be outside”! Chase opened the door a little bit but the dog went to open the door for Chase.  Chase went outside holding crutches and threw the ball. The dog went and chased the ball.

Epic!

Talofa everyone! Today I will be showing you this site named Epic. Its an app that you can read all different kinds of intersting books. You can listen to some of them or read it in your head. I use this site every school day. My favourite book is Save Princess Pearl! Check Epic Out! All you have to do is sign in to Epic and then you have loads of great books to read! If you read all kinds of different books everytime you go up a level! My level is 14! Comment down below what you think about this blog post!
